Meet Kathy

Finding the perfect piece should be as enjoyable as wearing it.

Kathy's Kurations was born long before the name ever appeared on paper.

For more than 20 years, throughout my career at Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus, I've had the pleasure of building trusted relationships with my clients by learning not only what they love, but why they love it.

Some of my favorite moments happened while sitting together at my desk, enjoying a cup of coffee, sharing stories, and discovering what made each client special.

Often, the perfect piece wasn't something displayed in a showcase. It was a hidden treasure waiting in the vault, or something I knew just the right designer could find or create.

During nearly two decades at Neiman Marcus, I developed a reputation for personal attention, thoughtful recommendations, and a genuine passion for precious jewelry.

Rather than showing everyone the same pieces, I naturally developed a more personal approach—thoughtfully selecting jewelry that reflected each client's taste, style, lifestyle, and story.

In many ways, I was already curating long before I ever used the word.

The Art of Curation

Curation is the careful selection and presentation of beautiful things with purpose, expertise, and intention.

For me, it means much more than presenting extraordinary jewelry. It begins with listening, understanding the individual, and sharing in the excitement of discovering something truly special.

Some clients save throughout the year for that unforgettable WOW piece. Others are building an everyday jewelry collection that expresses their personal style and sets them apart.

Whether it's a once-in-a-lifetime treasure or a piece to enjoy every day, helping someone find jewelry that feels uniquely theirs brings me tremendous satisfaction.

That philosophy became the heart of Kathy's Kurations.

Why the K in Kurations?

The unique spelling of Kurations has a very personal story behind it.

When I became a grandmother, my grandson Brody already had another grandmother called Mimi. I wanted a name that would be something special between us.

KK seemed perfect. After all, those are my initials—Kathy Krause—and I'd been using KK as my signature at work for years.

With a little encouragement, and the occasional playful squirt of whipped cream whenever Brody called me KK, the name stuck!

What began as a grandmother's nickname became a treasured family connection and, eventually, the inspiration for Kathy's Kurations.

Sometimes the most meaningful names come from the people we love most.

A New Chapter

After more than 20 wonderful years in luxury jewelry at Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus, I'm beginning an exciting new chapter.

Kathy's Kurations brings together the things I love most: extraordinary precious jewelry, talented designers, meaningful relationships, and the joy of helping someone discover something truly special.

Working directly with designers and trusted jewelry partners, I offer personally curated selections, special orders, thoughtful gift recommendations, and private, invitation-only jewelry experiences.

These intimate gatherings give my clients the opportunity to discover beautiful jewelry in a relaxed, welcoming setting, with the personal attention that has always defined my approach.

It's a new chapter, but the heart of what I do remains the same—making jewelry personal, memorable, and fun!

More Than Jewelry

Whether it's a timeless diamond, a bold statement piece, an everyday adornment, or a meaningful gift celebrating one of life's milestones, I believe every recommendation should begin with understanding the person who will wear it.

I know my diamond gals, gemstone beauties, precious pearl lovers, and jade queens. Each has her own style, her own story, and her own idea of what makes a piece special.

For me, jewelry has always been about more than the piece itself.

It's about the memories it represents, the relationships it celebrates, and the joy it brings.

At its heart, Kathy's Kurations is about helping clients feel seen, understood, celebrated—and beautifully adorned.

I believe God has prepared this special new chapter, creating a place where we can gather, relax, share stories, and enjoy the beauty of jewelry together.

I look forward to welcoming you and sharing the joy of Kathy's Kurations!

With love,

Kathy
